The Island Mavins Handmade and Vintage Market...

Thunderstorms were forecasted for the day of our market... Yikes!  We set up in a bit of a drizzle which was intermittent for most of the day. Despite the weather we had a great time! The vendors had fantastic goods and it was hard not to want to spend the money that I made. ☺
I did a few demonstration of the paint and people seemed to really enjoy that.

Almost everything in my booth has been "Sloaned"! ☺

These sewing boxes are also great for jewelry or makeup.

The market was held here at Point Ellice House
The vendors were set up here and all throughout the gardens.
The little Harbour Ferry stops at Point Ellice House dock.

We hope to make this an annual event.  Special thanks to Sheila at French Vanilla Home and Garden who not only came up with the idea but organized the entire market!

  2. I hope it does become an annual event, I would love to attend next year. If it does, can you blog prior to it so I won't miss it? I'll bring the big honking' truck, as I could easily fill it up with all the eye candy in your booth! : ) Patty

    1. It's official. We do plan on making it an annual event, so I will definitely blog about it beforehand. Get that truck ready!

  4. Thanks so much Debra for being a vendor at our first Island Mavins Handmade and Vintage market! Your booth was amazing and people really did enjoy seeing you demonstrate how easy it is to paint with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™. And yes, inspite of the wet weather, the turn out was great. People seemed to have fun sourcing out treasures to take home with them! We hope to make our market a yearly event....now if only we had a way to predict the weather for our next event!Ü

  7. We were so close to popping over the Malahat for this, but alas other plans kicked in. And now... I'm kicking myself for changing our mind :-( I seriously hope this becomes an annual event, and will watch for it next year!
