I picked up this sad looking little side table a couple of weeks. The previous owner had begun stripping of the veneer but never finished.
I have had to remove old broken veneer many times but I couldn't believe how difficult this one was. In the end I used a chisel, very carefully so as not to gouge the wood.
Here she is all painted up in a coat of 1/2 Coco and 1/2 Old White, then dry brushed with a little old white.
I stained the top with 1 coat of Minwax Stain in Jacobean and finished with a two coats of clear wax for protection and a nice lustre. I think she is quite pretty...
