You know how every room could use a nice splash of colour? This is that wonderful kind of piece that compliments another. It could be the main colour in a room of lovely whites, but the green is a soft one that nicely backs up another, stronger piece. The whole thing has been done in two tones, with the drawers done in Olive and a bit darker than the rest of the body, which was also painted in Olive with a wash of part Old White and part Olive over top and finished with a dark wax to give it some depth. It only stands 41 inches high - certainly bigger than a nightstand, but a small chest of drawers. The seashell bin-pulls were a shiny brass which I didn't care for so I painted those in Olive and finished with light and a little dark wax in the crevices .
