Before and After

Painting the fabric on an Antique Rocker

I was this far into painting this antique rocker before realizing I didn't have a before picture. You have probably seen and heard that you can paint fabric with Chalk Paint™ decorative paint by Annie Sloan.
The fabric was in great condition, I just didn't like the colour.
The first coat covered beautifully.
Two coats of Old White over the fabric and the wood, finished with two coats of clear wax. Super easy.
Here she is, all done.
The fabric now feels like soft leather and will age beautifully and stand up to daily use.

  2. Nice to see the finished chair. Looks great. I have a chenille fabric chair that I painted with Chalk Paint™ worked wonderfully.
